The Adson TC Forceps is the general-purpose tissue forceps of most surgical trays, distinguished from the Brown Adson by its jaw: where the Brown carries multiple rows of fine teeth across a broad tip, the standard Adson concentrates grip into a narrower tooth arrangement. That makes it the choice for precise single-point tissue handling and skin edge eversion during closure.
The tungsten carbide inserts extend the working life of the gripping surface well beyond plain stainless steel, which polishes smooth and loses tooth definition over repeated use. The tapered shank widens toward the finger grip, so the instrument delivers fine control at the tip without cramping the hand.
