Adson Suction Tube – 4 mm, 12.5 cm

The Adson Suction Tube fills the bore-size gap between the fine Frazier range (typically 5–12 French) and the large-bore Yankauer. At 4 mm diameter it handles the fluid volumes of a moderately bloody neurosurgical or ENT field without the turbulence a Yankauer introduces in a smaller cavity, and without the clogging that a Frazier experiences when clots exceed its bore.

Straight and curved configurations are available. The straight version suits cortical and direct-approach work; the curved version reaches around a retractor blade or follows a natural curve in the approach. At 12.5 cm the instrument sits in the mid-range working distance.
