The Baron Suction Tube is the shortest dedicated suction instrument in the NJ Medical ear range at 7.5 cm. At that length the surgeon’s fingers are as close to the tip as they can be while still clearing the ear speculum, which means every positional adjustment is small and controlled — the instrument moves where the hand moves, with almost no amplification from lever effects.
Three tip sizes cover the range of middle ear fluid management: 1.0 mm for the most delicate work near the stapes and oval window, 1.7 mm as a general-purpose micro bore, and 2.3 mm for faster clearance in a wet mesotympanum. Finger-vent suction control is standard.
