The Frazier Ferguson suction tube adds a pronounced angle to the standard Frazier profile. The angle exists for one specific approach: entering the external auditory meatus from the side while the patient lies supine. A straight tube approached from this direction would scrape the canal wall; the Ferguson angle follows the canal’s natural curve toward the tympanic membrane.
At 14 French and 100 mm working length, the tube handles the fluid and debris volumes of a standard ear cleaning or cerumen removal while fitting through a standard ear speculum. The finger vent and stylet are standard Frazier design.
