The Weil Nasal Forceps carries one of the larger cup jaws in the nasal range at 5.0 × 8.0 mm. That size determines its role: it is the instrument for bulk removal — excess bony fragments after osteotomy, redundant turbinate tissue, larger polyps — where a 2 mm ethmoid forceps would need a dozen bites to clear what this takes in two.
The cup ends are shaped to excise rather than crush, so tissue removed stays intact enough for histology if needed. An up-angled model is offered for approaches where the target sits above the line of the shaft, such as the superior turbinate or the roof of the nasal vault.
