Stainless Steel Mesh Sterilization Tray

A solid-walled tray shields whatever is inside it. Steam sterilisation works by contact, so an instrument lying in a closed pan is sterilised only where the steam can circulate to — and the underside, resting against the floor of the tray, is precisely where it cannot. Mesh removes that shadow: agent passes through the walls and base from every direction, so the instrument is treated on all sides at once.

The same openings drain. Condensate that forms during the cycle runs out through the mesh rather than pooling around the instruments, and wet packs are a sterility failure in their own right regardless of whether the cycle itself ran correctly. Mesh also cuts weight substantially, which matters for a tray lifted in and out of autoclaves several times a day.
