The House Micro Cup Forceps is a standard instrument in middle ear microsurgery, designed by the House Ear Institute tradition for the precision demands of stapedectomy, ossiculoplasty and tympanoplasty. The 0.9 mm cup tip is sized to capture small ossicular fragments, prosthesis components and graft material without the crush damage that flat-jaw forceps inflict on delicate structures.
At 134 mm (5.3″) the instrument provides the reach to work through a speculum while maintaining the fine motor control needed for manipulation at the level of the oval window and incudostapedial joint.
