Aufricht Nasal Retractor, 13.5 cm – Double-Ended, 42 × 7 mm

This is the basic member of the Aufricht family, and it earns its place by being short and double-ended. At 13.5 cm it is the shortest of the three, held in the fingers for work at the nasal tip and vestibule where the lit and suction versions are longer than the depth requires. Two working ends then give two approach angles without an instrument change in a field the size of a nostril.

Sharp blades hold tissue that a blunt edge would slip from, which is what allows a retractor this narrow to maintain the exposure. 42 mm of blade length against only 7 mm of width is a long, slim profile — it holds a good stretch of the nasal sidewall while taking up almost none of the space it is creating.
