Adson Micro Suture Forceps, 12.1 cm – 0.9 mm Tips

Tying a knot and grasping tissue need opposite things from a forceps. A knot is tied by laying suture across a flat surface and drawing it — which needs width. Picking up a fine structure needs a point. A tying platform gives both on one instrument: the 0.9 mm tips grasp, and the flat milled area just behind them takes the suture during the throw, so the surgeon does not have to swap instruments between holding tissue and securing it.

0.9 mm is genuinely fine but not microsurgical — it sits deliberately between a standard Adson and a jeweler forceps. That places it where a great deal of specialty work actually happens: fine enough for delicate suturing and tissue handling, robust enough that the tips are not bent by ordinary use. At 12.1 cm the instrument is held in the fingers, which is the grip the tying action assumes.
