About Spinal Elevators and Dissectors
Cobb elevators have a broad, curved blade for lifting muscle and periosteum from the spine, in standard, long and long anterior versions up to 47 cm. Farabeuf rugines and Adson, Bristow, Pennybacker and Trethowan elevators lift periosteum from other bones. Freer, Howarth, MacDonald, Swedish and Watson-Cheyne dissectors separate tissue in tighter spaces, and micro curettes, elevators, hooks and dissectors handle the smallest work.
