The Micro Ear Oval Cup Forceps in the downward pattern places two oval cups at a downward angle to the shaft axis, giving the surgeon access to tissue along the floor and inferior wall of the ear canal without needing to rotate the instrument or reposition the patient’s head. The cups measure 0.8 × 1.3 mm—large enough to take a useful bite of granulation tissue or cholesteatoma debris, small enough to work safely near the tympanic membrane.
At 8 cm overall length the forceps balances reach against control: long enough to work through an ear speculum, short enough that the surgeon’s fingers remain close to the operative field.
