About Lamina and Bone Spreaders
Lamina spreaders such as Inge and Baby Inge open the space between laminae or vertebrae and lock with a ratchet; the toothed Inge spreader opens to 5 cm. Cloward cervical and lamina spreaders are made for cervical surgery, and the Cloward-style vertebra spreader opens 3/4 in (19 mm). The calcaneal spreader is made for the heel bone.
