Nine prongs across 15 mm puts them under two millimetres apart, and that density is the whole point. Retraction force divided nine ways means each prong carries a fraction of the load, so tissue that would tear on a two- or four-prong rake is held securely. The closer the pitch, the more the rake behaves like a continuous blade while still gripping rather than pressing.
All nine are blunt, which pairs with the fine pitch rather than contradicting it. Sharp prongs hold by penetrating, and nine punctures in a short stretch of wound edge would do more damage than the retraction saves. Blunt prongs at close spacing distribute pressure instead — they engage the tissue edge collectively and hold it without breaking the surface anywhere. At 133 mm the retractor is short and finger-held, matched to the shallow fields this kind of fine retraction belongs to.
