Swiss Jeweler Style Forceps, 11.4 cm – Curved Micro-Fine

Jeweler forceps are defined by how little tip there is. The points taper to a fineness measured in tenths of a millimetre, because in microsurgery and graft work the instrument has to grasp a structure without also covering it — a standard forceps tip placed on a fine suture or a graft edge hides the very thing the surgeon is aligning. The Swiss pattern is the finest grade of that taper.

Curving the points adds a second advantage: the tips meet the tissue while the shafts stay out of the line of sight, so the surgeon looks past the instrument rather than around it. Flat handles matter at this scale too. Round handles roll, and a few degrees of unintended rotation at the handle becomes a visible excursion at a tip this fine. A flat profile registers against the fingers and holds the orientation the surgeon set.
